


Posters will be up during the entire meeting. There will be two poster sessions with beer and pretzels. The first on Wednesday evening from 5-6:30 PM (sponsored by Diagnostic Biosensors) and the second on Thursday from 5-6:30 PM (sponsored by Magnisense).
As last year, Cordula Grüttner organized a poster competition and handed out awards for the most original posters. A jury consisting of Ed Flynn, Howard Bryant, Yali Cui and Norbert Buske helped her. The winners of the poster competition in 2008 are:
- Prize: Gernot Marten, Germany; "Magnetic polymer brushes for bioseparation and magnetoresponsive drug delivery systems"
- Prize: Mei Lin Chan, U.S.A.; "Detection of magnetically labeled DNA microarrays using scanning magnetic tunnel junction sensor"
- Prize: Patricia Stepp, U.S.A.; "Magnetically guided targeted drug delivery across the blood brain barrier"
Audience Award: Takeshi Hara, Japan; "Preparation of ferrite hollow spheres encapsulating anticancer drug and fluorocarbon for DDS"

The recommended poster size is A0 (84 x 119 cm), upright as shown below. The poster board size is 1.22 m high x 1.22 m wide (or 48" x 48"). Pins will be provided.
