The meeting hotel, “Hotel Neptun” is situated in the North of Germany in the charming Baltic Sea seaside resort of Warnemünde, just 10 miles from Rostock. It is the big building to the right, directly at the beach.
Rostock, an old “Hansestadt” (trading town), was founded 778 years ago and is the oldest North European university town (founded in 1419).
Rostock can easily be reached by train or rental car in about 2 hours from the international airports Berlin and Hamburg. For the train schedule, please check the Deutsche Bundesbahn at www.db.de.
From the train station in Rostock, take the local train to Warnemünde. It takes about 20 minutes and costs DM 3 to get to the harbor station in Warnemünde. Everybody there can point you to Hotel Neptun (8 minute walk).
