Basic Physics of Magnetic Carriers Lecture

This first basic magnetism physics tutorial looks at the background knowledge that everybody in the field of magnetic targeting should have. The lecture was given by Professor Tim St. Pierre at the 4th International Conference on the Scientific and Clinical Applications of Magnetic Carriers in Tallahassee, Florida, U.S.A. Tim is a Senior Lecturer in the Biophysics Programme of the Department of Physics at the University of Western Australia. His Biomagnetics and Iron Biomineralisation Research Group conducts investigations into the role of physics and magnetism in biology and medicine. Investigations range from iron-overload disorders through to ferro-fluids and magnetotactic bacteria. Tim has published more than 60 papers in this area.
